Cherry Trees Pensioners

The Cambridge Pensioners’ Fellowship for over 55s meets on Wednesdays from 10.30am to 3.30pm at Cherry Trees Day Centre, St. Matthew’s Street, CB1 2LT. It has a vision for reaching elderly people in isolation and in need of friendship, giving them the incentive to not only enjoy themselves, but to look outward and be resourceful to the community and further afield.

Some of the members arrive on Cambridge Dial-a-Ride minibuses. Some of the members bring their own lunch, and others choose to pay a small charge to have their lunch provided by Camms Meals at the Centre.

The members enjoy a happy time of competitive games, group activities, guest speakers, slides, entertainment from different groups etc. Not forgetting a welcome cup of tea! Between 15-20 people attend each week. Every week there is a short time of devotion either led by our minister or by one of our deacons Derek Wall, or by one of the Pensioners’ Fellowship members.

For further details on activities and the small weekly charge, contact Derek Wall via the church office.
